Takeoff Festival
To complement its own productions, CTC presents an annual showcase festival of professional theatre for children and young people. We bring a range of companies to the North East, to provide a forum for debate and comparison, and to raise awareness of the achievement and potential of our field of work among funders, producers & promoters.
TAKEOFF 2008: Week commencing 10th November 2008, Darlington Arts Centre
The focus of this year is theatre for Early Years with special shows from Belgium, Germany and the UK. Takeoff is a partner in Small Size, an EU funded network of companies and artists creating theatre for the youngest audiences, including babies and toddlers.
There will be a workshop day for artists on Monday 10th November (by invitation only) and a day of public performances and discussion on Tuesday 11th November.
Wednesday 12th November is a full day conference with partners TYA - UK Centre of ASSITEJ where delegates will debate crucial issues in planning for the Next Decade and supporting New Generation artists worldwide.
